Here’s an overview of the carriers’ Christmas deadlines for 2025, so your customers can receive their parcels in time for Christmas Eve.
Christmas is one of the busiest times of the year, especially for carriers and freight companies who need to make sure your customers get that sparkle in their eyes when they open their gifts over the holidays. Each carrier has its own deadlines for dropping off or collecting parcels if you want the Christmas presents to arrive before December 24.
You can find the drop-off deadlines for PostNord Denmark, GLS Denmark, Bring Denmark, dao, Danske Fragtmænd, DHL Express and UPS below.

Christmas delivery deadlines in Denmark
Bring’s drop-off deadlines:
Bring’s deadline for Danish domestic parcels is December 19, 2025.
If you’re sending to Bornholm or Samsø, the deadline is December 18.
For shipments to Norway, the deadline is between December 12–17, depending on the postal code.
In Sweden, the deadline is December 17, and for Finland it’s between December 12–17.
Bring’s terminal in Greve will be open on December 24 from 00:00–06:30 and on December 26 from 14:00–00:00. It will remain closed in between.
The terminal in Taulov will be closed on December 24 and 25 and will reopen on December 26 from 22:00–00:00.

Danske Fragtmænd’s Christmas deadline:
Danske Fragtmænd will collect freight on December 19 for delivery on Monday, December 22. They will also collect on December 22 for delivery on Tuesday, December 23, if the shipment must arrive before Christmas.
They will collect freight on December 23 as well, but these shipments will not be delivered until December 29.
Danske Fragtmænd will be closed from December 24–26, as well as the following weekend. In addition, they will be closed from December 31, 2025, through January 2, 2026.

dao’s drop-off deadlines:
With dao, you can drop off daoSHOP parcels until December 20 if you want them delivered before Christmas Eve. They will be collected on December 21 and delivered up until December 24.
If you drop off parcels directly at a terminal or have them picked up, the deadline is December 19 for daoSHOP and December 20 for daoHOME.

Dao has no closing days, but the above deadlines apply to parcels that must arrive before Christmas.
DHL’s Christmas deadline:
DHL Express has not yet announced any deadlines or closing days for Christmas 2025.
If you are shipping with DHL Freight, you can find their Christmas and New Year schedule for both import and export here.
GLS’s drop-off deadlines:
The recommended final drop-off date for GLS parcels is December 19 if the parcels must reach your customers before Christmas.
If you’re sending parcels from a GLS ParcelShop, remember to drop them off before the latest collection time of the day.
Final drop-off deadlines for parcels to:
- Denmark: December 19
- Belgium, Estonia, France, Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Switzerland, Slovenia, Sweden, Czech Republic, Germany and Austria: December 17
- Finland, Ireland, Italy, Croatia, Northern Ireland, Norway, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, United Kingdom, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece and Portugal: December 12
GLS will not deliver parcels on December 24, 25, and 26, nor on December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026.

PostNord’s drop-off deadlines:
The final drop-off date for PostNord parcels to arrive before Christmas is Friday, December 19.
Monday, December 22, is the last day for collection if parcels must arrive before Christmas.
PostNord will not deliver parcels on December 24, 25, and 26, nor on December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026.
If you are sending letters with PostNord, they must be received by December 29 before they completely pause distribution and processing.

UPS’s Christmas deadline:
UPS will be closed on the following days:
- December 24: No delivery or collection services
- December 25: No delivery or collection services
- December 26: No delivery or collection services
- December 31: No delivery or collection services
There is no direct announcement about drop-off or collection deadlines, but we recommend playing it safe and dropping off the last parcels well in advance, preferably by Friday, December 19.

Christmas delivery deadlines in Norway
Bring Norway
Bring’s domestic shipping deadline is between December 16–19, 2025, except for express delivery within the same city.

If you’re shipping from Norway to other countries, there are different deadlines.
For shipments to Sweden or Denmark, the deadline is December 15.
For the rest of the Nordics or Germany, the deadline is December 12.

PostNord Norway
PostNord Norway has not yet officially announced any closing days or drop-off deadlines.
However, they informed Shipmondo that parcels should likely be dropped off no later than December 18 to ensure they arrive before Christmas, as delivery time is 3–5 days.
Christmas delivery deadlines in Sweden
DHL Freight Sweden
If you are shipping with DHL Freight, you can find their Christmas and New Year schedule for both import and export here.
No further announcements about closing days have been made.
UPS Sweden
UPS will be closed on the following days:
- December 24: No delivery or collection services
- December 25: No delivery or collection services
- December 26: No delivery or collection services
December 31: No delivery or collection services
