Christmas is one of the busiest times of the year - especially for carriers and shipping companies who need to make sure your customers get a Christmas sparkle in their eyes when they can pack up their Christmas presents on Christmas Eve.
Each carrier has some recommended deadlines for pick-up/drop-off shipments, so that the Christmas presents can arrive before 24 December.

Christmas delivery deadlines in Denmark
If your business is in Denmark and you need to send packages to Danish recipients, you have multiple options with Shipmondo.

Christmas delivery deadlines in Norway
With Bring Norway, most parcels are delivered within 1-3 days, but Bring recommends that you send them a little earlier before Christmas.
During the period from November 20, 2023, to January 1, 2024, there may be a slightly longer delivery time for the following products:
- Pakke til bedrift and Pakke til hentested: +1 day
- Bedriftspakke and Servicepakke: +1 day
Additionally, the time window for home deliveries (Levert hjem) is extended to 15-22, starting from 13 November.
Due to the expected large volume of packages for Christmas, Bring has installed even more parcel lockers, and by the end of the year, they’ll have parcel lockers at over 1900 locations throughout Norway.
In addition, Bring has also planned full production on weekends at the sorting terminals starting from Black Week, and they’ve extended the delivery time window for some services from November 20.

PostNord Christmas delivery times
PostNord Norway recommends that you send your Christmas packages by Friday, December 15, no later than 4:00 PM.
Items sent by this deadline will be delivered before Christmas to all locations in Norway.
From November 20 to January 5, PostNord reports that there may be an additional +1 day of delivery time for all products except home delivery.
Packages scheduled for home delivery have normal delivery times, but there’ll be no home delivery on December 22, 2023.
PostNord’s distribution during the Christmas period is as follows:
- December 23-24: No production
- December 25-26: No pickup/delivery
- December 27-30: Reduced delivery and pickup frequency
- December 31: No production
From December 27-30, PostNord maintains normal delivery times for urban areas throughout Norway. However, they note that there may be longer transport times to areas outside the cities.

Christmas delivery deadlines in Sweden
If you use Shipmondo in Sweden, you can send packages with DHL Freight abd UPS domestically in Sweden.
DHL Freight Christmas delivery deadlines
DHL Freight announces that the last pickup date for packages sent in Sweden is December 19.
For the rest of the Nordic countries, the last pickup dates before Christmas are:
- Norway: December 14
- Denmark: December 19
- Finland: December 18
If you’re sending packages within Sweden to arrive by New Year’s, the last pickup date is December 27.
UPS Christmas delivery deadlines
UPS announces that there may be changes to their delivery times during the Christmas period in Sweden.
Their distribution plan is as follows:
- December 24: No delivery or pickup services.
- December 25: No delivery or pickup services.
- December 26: No delivery or pickup services.
- December 30: No delivery or pickup services.
- December 31: No delivery or pickup services.
From Monday, November 20, 2023, to Friday, January 12, 2024, there may be an additional +1 day of delivery time when using UPS Standard.
During the same period, the delivery window has been extended for UPS Express shipments. Deliveries that normally arrive before 10:30 AM may be delivered before 12:00 PM, and deliveries scheduled for 12:00 PM may be delivered by 2:00 PM.
