With over 60 physical stores/warehouse locations and two webshops, Mr and Din Tøjmand have gathered their shipping in an omnichannel setup with Shipmondo.
As the two main brands behind Indkøbsforeningen af 1964, Mr and Din Tøjmand are among the largest menswear brands in Denmark, with close to 100 different stores across the country. Here, they offer a wide range of quality brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Matinique, and Boss.
At Mr and Din Tøjmand, every single store is an active part of their e-commerce flow. When an order comes into the webshop, it is automatically assigned to the store that will ship the item. The store accepts the order in their POS system, and at that moment Shipmondo’s API automatically creates a shipment, booked on the store’s own shipping agreement and sent directly to the label printer.
For the stores, Shipmondo acts as an invisible but very important engine running in the background, says Rasmus Pedersen, Digital & Online Manager at the association behind the two menswear brands.
It is precisely the interplay between central overview and local dispatch that makes the solution strong. From headquarters, customer service uses Shipmondo to keep track of all shipments across stores and webshops. Since each store has its own carrier agreement, it is easy for the company to manage both agreements and internal settlements.
A complete overview that makes it easy to support both customers and colleagues. At the same time, this setup makes it quick and simple to connect new stores to the Shipmondo solution.
Efficient handling of complex logistics
With an omnichannel setup where each store ships orders from its own address using its own carrier agreement, there are demands for both flexibility and automation.
Especially when larger orders need to be split and shipped from multiple locations. For example, when they must be shipped from three cities, on three printers, and on three different carrier agreements. It may be necessary to split an order if not all items are in stock at the same location and therefore need to be shipped from different stores.
All of this is handled automatically via our Shipmondo account, ensuring that the entire shipping flow runs smoothly. The result is efficient booking of shipments, overview, and full control of all deliveries, says Rasmus Pedersen.
