Pandasia began as an entrepreneurial dream with a one-man inventory management system run from a child’s bedroom and a container in the backyard. But this modest space was quickly replaced with large warehouse facilities, covering 600 sqm of storage space, where today, 16 employees work hard to pick, pack, and ship the taste of Asia to their many customers.

A seamless logistics solution
Pandasia uses Shipmondo as their central order and shipping system. Every order placed on their webshop is handled through Shipmondo’s Order Management and Digital pick paths, allowing employees to efficiently pick, pack, and ship orders - with minimal errors. AnhDu especially highlights the time they save by printing labels, thanks to Shipmondo’s Automatic printing.

In addition to Shipmondo’s Order Management, Digital Pick Paths, Return Portal, and Personalized Messages, Pandasia also uses the Delivery Checkout, offering their customers a range of delivery options tailored to their needs at checkout. This contributes to a customized and satisfying shopping experience for their customers.
Efficient pick-pack processes
Pandasia has 7-8 warehouse employees working daily, managing around 180 orders with the help of Shipmondo’s digital pick paths, which tailor the most efficient route for each employee. They’ve placed smaller and more popular items on the first shelves and larger items toward the end, making the process more efficient.
When warehouse employees manage orders during the pick-pack process, they use Shipmondo’s filtering of orders. They’ve created filters that separate orders by carrier, Click and Collect, items above or below a certain number, orders with comments, and paused orders, allowing employees to manage each type of order efficiently.
Each employee can pick up to 12 orders at a time, which will afterward be prepared for shipping and collection by the carriers Pandasia has agreements with. Once the package is shipped, Shipmondo automatically generates tracking information through personalized messages sent to customers, allowing them to follow their package’s journey.
From a 2% error rate to 0.5%
Shipmondo has not only helped AnhDu and his team streamline logistics, but also improve employee performance. Thanks to Shipmondo’s digital pick paths, Pandasia can handle more orders at once, minimize picking errors, and enhance employee productivity using Shipmondo’s pick path analysis.
AnhDu explains:
We’ve seen a significant improvement in our time on pick after switching from manual picking to digital pick paths. We’ve gone from picking 34 orders in 9 hours to picking up to 252 orders in the same time, using Shipmondo’s digital pick paths.
In Pandasia’s early days, they picked 34 orders a day. Pandasia’s customer segment often purchases a wide variety of Asian products in a single order. Many of these items are small, which made the picking process time-consuming. As a result, Pandasia had to rethink their picking solution and warehouse setup to keep up with demand. They transitioned from using a picking solution with pick lists - where they printed one pick list per order and walked to each item’s location in a more or less random order - to digital pick paths where the list is sorted by item location. With digital pick paths, Pandasia receives images of the items, enabling them to go through the warehouse only once, as they can pick 12 orders in a single route.
In addition to improving order management efficiency, they’ve reduced their picking error rate from 2% to just 0.5%. This is a substantial cost reduction, saving money, avoiding overtime, and increasing customer satisfaction.
The data Pandasia accesses through Shipmondo’s analysis tools has also created a fun internal competition among the warehouse employees, seeing who can pick the most orders in a day. Employees can track their performance on the warehouse floor and see how many orders they’ve picked and how fast they’re working.
These analysis tools not only maintain efficiency and motivation among employees but also serve as a valuable resource for AnhDu to make data-driven decisions regarding both staff and product placement. It also helps that Shipmondo has a user-friendly interface:

Earlier this year, Pandasia was one of the customers who experienced the need to pause orders.
The need to pause an order arose when we couldn’t find a specific item for an order, or if the item was out of stock. Shipmondo was so responsive that their developers made it possible to pause an order when using Shipmondo’s order management, says AnhDu.

Pandasia has been on the fast track since day one! And they are still expanding their warehouse space, increasing the number of shipments, and entering new markets.
