You can now use your custom domain on Shipmondo's Personalized Messages and your Return Portal, making your communication even more professional, recognizable, and trustworthy for your customers.
Imagine a customer shopping on your webshop. They receive an order confirmation, a delivery update - and maybe one day, they need to return an item. Every message and every link they click on is part of their experience with your brand.
If you’ve been using Personalized Messages or Return Portal, the domain shown in the URL and sender field has until now been Shipmondo’s. That works fine for some, but for others it creates an unnecessary distance between you and the customer. Because even in the small details - like a return URL or email sender - there’s an opportunity to strengthen the relationship and build trust.
With our new feature, you can now use your custom domain. You can apply it to both the Return Portal and Personalized Messages - without compromising on security or technical stability, just as you know Shipmondo for.
A stronger brand throughout the customer journey
From now on, when your customers receive an email or visit your return portal, they won’t see Shipmondo as the default domain - but your custom domain.
The benefit of a custom domain is that communication becomes a natural extension of your webshop. Customers encounter your brand from start to finish, making the experience more recognizable, safe, and professional.
Picture it: a customer receives an email from name@mail.mycompany.com with a link to return.mycompany.com. From the first email to the final click on the return portal, the customer is experiencing your brand, making everything feel seamless.
Use a custom domain for Personalized Messages
You can connect a custom domain to emails sent via Shipmondo - also known as Personalized Messages.
Once you, or a technical partner, have set up the DNS records, Shipmondo automatically manages the technical details such as DKIM, SPF, and DMARC, ensuring that your emails are delivered correctly, securely, and don’t end up in spam.
When DNS setup is complete, your emails will be sent from your custom domain - e.g. name@mail.mycompany.com. This creates recognizable, trustworthy, and consistent communication where your brand is always clear.
If you prefer, the DNS information can also be downloaded as a CSV file, so an internal technician or web agency can help with setup. The system continuously monitors that all records are correctly configured, and once the domain is validated, the status bar turns green.
Use a custom domain for the Return Portal
You can also link a custom domain to your return portal.
When you connect your custom domain to the return portal, the link becomes directly tied to your brand - e.g. return.mycompany.com.
This setup requires access to your domain’s DNS settings. You can do the setup yourself or get help from a technical partner.
Apply your branding to the Return Portal
In addition to using a custom domain, you can also remove the “Powered by Shipmondo” text at the bottom of the portal. The portal can be visually customized to match your brand by adding your company logo at the top.
This way, the return portal becomes a fully integrated part of your company and webshop experience, with your brand front and center throughout.
When customers encounter a return portal that clearly belongs to you, it strengthens both trust and the overall brand experience.
