UPS: Choose the customs payer with Shipmondo’s shipping agreement

January 23, 2025

When shipping goods between the EU and countries outside the EU, they may be subject to customs duties and import taxes. Typically, the recipient is responsible for paying these costs in the destination country, unless you choose to cover them yourself when creating the shipment.

From January 30 2025 a new option for shipments booked through Shipmondo’s UPS shipping agreement will be introduced. Now you can decide whether customs duties and import taxes are billed to the customer/recipient, or covered by your business.

This added flexibility can help reduce barriers for your customers by eliminating unexpected fees at delivery. Plus, it gives you more control over the customer experience, enabling you to offer a smoother and more seamless buying process.
