DSV Road supports gross weight in ADR

July 28, 2026

DSV Road now supports specifying gross weight when declaring dangerous goods (ADR).

Rules for using gross weight:

  • Specifying gross weight with ADR is optional, but for carriers such as PostNord and DHL Freight, the gross weight falls back to the net weight if the gross weight field is left empty.
  • If gross weight is specified, it must be greater than or equal to the net weight.
  • If gross weight is specified, it must be less than or equal to the parcel weight.

Besides DSV Road, you can use gross weight in connection with dangerous goods for the following carriers in Shipmondo:

  • Danske Fragtmænd
  • DHL Freight
  • PostNord (SE, NO, FI)
  • Jørgen Jensen Distribution
  • Sand Distribution
  • K. Hansen Transport
  • Dansk Distribution Nørresundby
  • BHS Logistics
  • Schou-Danielsen Logistik
  • Leman
  • Collicare
  • Alpi
  • Esbjerg Gods
  • Jørvi Transport
  • Dansk Distribution

Booking this requires a direct shipping agreement with the carriers. Haven’t you set up your own shipping agreement in Shipmondo yet? See how to request one in the guide here.
