GLS has informed us that the Faroese customs authorities require an original commercial invoice for shipments to the Faroe Islands.
As a result, it is no longer possible to use the Euro Business Parcel (Customs) product via Shipmondo for shipments to the Faroe Islands.
This means you should no longer enter customs information via Shipmondo, neither in the web portal nor via API. Instead, you must send the original commercial invoice directly to spedition@gls-denmark.com.
The invoice must include, among other things, the country of origin for the goods and the HS codes. For questions or approval of your invoice, please contact GLS directly.
If you book manually, you must now select the Euro Business Parcel product (without customs) when shipping to the Faroe Islands.
For API users only
The product code GLSDK_EBPC (Euro Business Parcel (Customs)) is now disabled for shipments to the Faroe Islands.
Use the product code GLSDK_EB (Euro Business Parcel) in your Create shipment request instead.
