Shipmondo has now launched the ability to sync returns with Shopify.
When a return is created in Shipmondo, an ongoing return is automatically created in Shopify. You choose whether stock should be adjusted, and which stock location, if you have more than one. When the return is approved in Shipmondo, it’s also marked as closed in Shopify.
How it works
- Turn on the feature on your Shopify integration.
- Handle the return as usual. The return is created and received on the order in Shipmondo.
- Choose whether stock should be adjusted, and on which location, if you have more than one.
- Approve the return. It’s automatically closed in Shopify. If the sync fails, it appears as an event on the order.
Return reasons
Using one of the three standard return reasons, “Buyer’s remorse”, “Item not as expected”, and “Complaint”, transfers it to the matching reason in Shopify. Other return reasons are set to “Unknown” in Shopify.
Note! Shipmondo is the source of truth for the return. Changes made directly in Shopify can cause sync errors, but don’t affect the rest of the return handling.
This feature requires Shipmondo Pro. See the full list of features. If you’re using the feature for the first time, you’ll need to give the Shipmondo app access to read and create returns in your Shopify account. If you try to turn on the feature without this, an error message appears, which is resolved by opening the Shipmondo app in Shopify and approving the access.
