Shipmondo now supports Kustom as a payment gateway, so you can keep capturing, refunding and canceling payments directly from Shipmondo.
Shipmondo now supports Kustom as a payment gateway. Starting November 1, 2026, Klarna and Kustom are locking their APIs so that an API key only works with the product it was created in. A Kustom key can therefore no longer be used in the Klarna gateway. With the new gateway, you can keep managing your payments directly from Shipmondo, without logging in to Kustom’s own portal.
What can you do with the Kustom gateway?
The Kustom gateway works like the Klarna gateway. You can capture payments, including partial amounts, refund them and cancel them. Shipmondo also retrieves the payment status.
Choose the right gateway
When you create a payment gateway, you need to choose the one that matches your API key. Klarna keys start with klarna_, and Kustom keys start with kco_.
