Shipmondo MCP

Connect Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants with one URL. You log in with your Shipmondo account, so there is no API key to keep track of.

Shipmondo CLI

For Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and other agents that work in a terminal.

The command creates a shipmondo folder. Put it where your tool looks for skills, such as .claude/skills/shipmondo/ for Claude Code.

What we're asked most often about Shipmondo MCP and CLI.

Do Shipmondo MCP and CLI require programming skills?

No. You write to your AI assistant in plain language. You add MCP directly in the assistant, so you don't need a terminal or any code. If you want to use Shipmondo CLI in scripts or automations, some technical experience helps, though.

What's the difference between Shipmondo MCP and Shipmondo CLI?

Both are built on Shipmondo's API, but they don't cover the same ground. The CLI can do everything the API can. MCP covers the tasks you most often handle in a chat, but it can't, for example, retrieve labels as PDFs or refund a payment. You do that with the CLI or in Shipmondo. The difference is also where you use them. MCP connects Shipmondo to the AI assistant you chat with, such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini, and you log in with your Shipmondo account. The CLI is a terminal program that AI agents like Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, and Gemini can use.

Which AI assistants can we use with Shipmondo MCP?

Any AI assistant that supports MCP servers with login (OAuth), such as Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, and Gemini CLI. You add Shipmondo as a custom connector with the URL https://mcp.shipmondo.com/mcp. See how in our guide.

What does the assistant get access to, and can we remove it again?

The assistant gets the same access as an API key, but you don't need to create a key or enter a password in it. You log in to Shipmondo and approve the connection, and only the account owner can do that. Shipments the assistant books are paid by your account, just like the ones you book yourself. Under Settings > Integrations > MCP, you can see all connected assistants and remove them, so they lose access immediately.

Can we analyze shipping costs?

No. Shipping rates and shipping costs are not included in the data that the shipping statistics are based on. For example, you can compare the number of shipments and weight across carriers, but not your total shipping expenses.
