Ask questions about your shipments, orders, products, and inventory, and get faster access to the insights hidden in your data, so you can optimize operations, logistics, and e-commerce.
How many packages did you send with GLS last month? Did you send more shipments to Sweden or France? And which of your best-selling products have the highest return rate?
The answers are already in your Shipmondo data. And with Shipmondo CLI connected to your AI assistant, you can ask the questions directly and get answers without first exporting data to a spreadsheet and building the report manually.
When you can get answers quickly, it becomes easier to bring your data into day-to-day decisions. It gives you a concrete basis for setting priorities in operations, planning purchasing, and tracking sales trends, rather than relying on gut feeling alone.
From data exports to questions
Many analyses start with the same work: export the data, structure it in a spreadsheet, build a pivot table, and find the number you were actually looking for.
With Shipmondo Analytics and Shipmondo CLI, the process can start somewhere else: with the question.
For example, you can ask:
“How many packages did we send last month, broken down by carrier?”
The AI assistant finds the relevant data via Shipmondo CLI and presents the answer. If you need to dig deeper into the numbers, you can continue the conversation:
“… and how are they distributed across countries?”
What can you ask your Shipmondo data?
The analysis covers four key areas in Shipmondo: shipments, sales orders, order items, and inventory and returns.
Shipments
Get an overview of things like the number of packages, colli, and weight, and break the numbers down by carrier, shipping product, destination country, or tracking status, for example.
By reviewing tracking status on an ongoing basis, you can more easily spot delivery issues and prioritize follow-up. This lets you look into where action is needed before customers start asking where their packages are.
For example, you can ask:
- “How many packages did we send last month, broken down by carrier?”
- “What is our average package weight with PostNord compared to GLS?”
- “Show our daily shipping volume in November as a chart.”
- “Do we have any packages with tracking issues right now?”
Sales orders
You can also work with data on the number of orders and revenue, and break it down by customer, currency, country, sales channel, and order status, among other things.
Sales trends can help you assess which markets and sales channels deserve more attention. By also tracking the number of orders waiting to be shipped, you can check whether operations are keeping up as sales grow.
For example:
- “What was our revenue last quarter, broken down by currency?”
- “Who are our 10 biggest customers this year?”
- “Which sales channel performs best?”
- “How many orders are still waiting to be shipped?”
If you work with multiple currencies, revenue is kept separate by currency. This means that, for example, kroner and euros are not added together into a single total.
Products and returns
For purchasing teams and product managers, data on sold, shipped, and returned items can provide a concrete basis for examining product performance.
You can ask things like:
- “Which 20 SKUs do we sell the most of?”
- “Which of our best-selling products have the highest return rate?”
- “Which products are returned most often?”
- “Which products have been ordered but not yet shipped?”
A bestseller isn’t necessarily a product you should buy more of. If it’s also frequently returned, it’s worth looking into why before you place your next purchase order. That way, you can assess your product range based on more than sales figures alone.
The return rate is calculated among your best-selling products. It is therefore not an analysis of the highest return rate across your entire product range.
Warehouse, picking, and returns
If you run warehouse operations or 3PL, you can also use the AI assistant to retrieve statistics on picking, packing, and returns, among other things.
For example:
- “How many shipments did we pack last week?”
- “What are the most common return reasons?”
- “How is our picking distributed by picking method?”
- “How many returns came in through the Return Portal?”
When more items are returned, it also takes time in the warehouse. The numbers can help you factor returns managing into your planning, so staffing isn’t based solely on the orders going out.
Ask one question and build on the answer
The value isn’t only in the first answer. Combining Shipmondo Analytics with your AI assistant lets you keep working with the numbers in the same conversation.
Follow up
You don’t need to know the perfect wording from the start. Begin with a broad question, and then narrow down the analysis.
“… and what if we only look at Sweden?”
Compare periods
The AI assistant can retrieve data for multiple periods and compare the results.
“Compare this month with the same month last year.”
Visualize and export
The assistant can use the numbers to create tables, charts, and spreadsheets, for example.
“Show our daily shipping volume in November as a chart.”
Take a closer look at the numbers
You can ask the AI assistant to highlight patterns in the results and point out areas worth looking into further.
A fluctuation in the numbers doesn’t in itself tell you what you should change. By comparing periods and asking follow-up questions, you can find out whether it’s, say, a single busy week or a trend you should account for in your planning.
Create recurring reports without starting from scratch
This becomes especially useful when multiple datasets or periods need to be combined.
For example, you can ask the AI assistant to:
- “Create a monthly report on shipments and revenue for all of 2026.”
- “Compare this month with the same month last year.”
- “Put our shipments per carrier in a spreadsheet.”
The AI assistant can retrieve the necessary numbers and keep working with them. That means recurring analyses don’t have to begin with the same manual data work every month.
For larger e-commerce businesses and 3PL setups, this can make it easier for multiple functions across the organization to work with the same operational data, without every question first having to be turned into a new report.
Shipmondo CLI connects your AI assistant with Shipmondo
Shipmondo CLI is the connection between Shipmondo and the AI assistant. Once the setup is in place, the assistant can retrieve the relevant data from Shipmondo and use it to answer your questions.
Statistics are one of the ways you can use Shipmondo CLI. The CLI provides access to Shipmondo’s API, so your AI agent can also, for example, create and work with shipments directly from the workflow you already work in.
This means you don’t have to switch to a separate reporting solution to ask questions about your data.
Make your Shipmondo data easier to use
Your data is most valuable when it can be used while the question is still relevant. With Shipmondo Analytics, Shipmondo CLI, and your AI assistant, you can go straight from question to data and continue the analysis from there, without first preparing a spreadsheet.
