PostNord: Door code for shipments to Sweden

Carrier

When you ship to Sweden, you can now add a door code to the receiver so the driver can get into the building.

When you ship to Sweden, you can now add a door code to the receiver so the driver can get into the building. The feature works with all PostNord products.

It is common in Sweden for parcels to be delivered all the way to the apartment entrance in residential buildings. With the door code, the driver can get in, which means fewer failed delivery attempts and fewer parcels ending up at a parcel shop instead of with the receiver.

How to use the door code

The Door code field appears on the receiver as soon as the destination country is Sweden. It is optional, and you do not need to activate anything first. The code is sent to PostNord with the booking and appears on the label.

The door code exists only on the receiver and only for shipments to Sweden. It cannot be added to the sender, pickup or return address.

Available in the API

Set the attribute access_code on the receiver (receiver) in your Create shipment request. The door code is also returned in the response. The API does not reject a door code on shipments to countries other than Sweden. It is sent on to PostNord, but we cannot guarantee that it will be used. See the API documentation for more details.
