With the new features in Shipmondo, you can now handle these complex workflows in a simple and structured way.
Shipments involving multiple parties are now fully supported, allowing you to dynamically define senders, importers, and third-party freight payers depending on the carrier and service.
For some carriers, the freight payer may require a customer number and country code, while others also require a postcode. An importer may be mandatory for certain shipments but optional for others. The form automatically adapts, so you only need to fill in what’s required to complete the booking correctly - whether you’re shipping with, for example, UPS, DHL, or FedEx.
This eliminates manual data entry and reduces the risk of errors, while ensuring that shipments comply with the regulations in the destination country. At the same time, it gives you a clear overview of what information is expected based on the selected carrier and service.
For companies shipping dangerous goods or working with 3PL solutions, this added support provides even greater flexibility when booking shipments.
Depending on the carrier and service, additional fields for drop-off points, pickup, or returns will also appear after the sender and recipient sections. If you have fixed addresses, these can be saved in the address book and reused across shipments.
The form for booking manual shipments in Shipmondo only displays fields relevant to the specific shipment. If customs information is required, an extended sequence of fields will automatically appear to guide you through the process.
Automated and simplified management for logistics and 3PL companies
For businesses working with 3PL or managing multiple clients, these new features add even more value. You can now easily handle different customer requirements, such as varying freight payers, importers, or VOEC/GB EORI numbers.
Using shipment templates, you can control which information is applied to which customers - and when - without having to enter it manually for every shipment.
