There are a lot of companies affected by the Covid-19 crisis at the moment and the pressure on their business is forcing them to think in new ways and find alternatives to their regular workflows.
At the same time, there are still stores that are being held open, so that we can get food, and a lot of drivers are still driving around with packages. We owe huge respect to all of them.
This blog post is a collection of services and initiatives, supported by different carriers, that take precaution to prevent the spread of infection when delivering the package to your receivers’ home address. You’ll be able to have packages delivered to your customers’ front door without any physical contact between the delivery man and the receiver.

GLS Deposit Service
Your customers will be able to receive their orders without physically being present to receive the package. The way this works is that your customer informs you where the package should be placed and you pass this information on to the carrier. When delivery man comes by, the package will be deposited at the desired location.
The agreed upon location can vary depending on the delivery and can e.g. be in the greenhouse, at the backdoor or in the garage. Click here here to read more about GLS Deposit Service.
The receiver can also grant GLS a temporary power of attorney (POA), the authority to deliver a package without signature. Get the POA here, print it and hang it some place visible to the delivery man. This temporary power of attorney is especially relevant if you’re sending with Business Parcel, as there are a lot of offices that are temporarily closed and there is no one that can sign for delivery. Ask your customers to use this temporary power of attorney so you (sender) can avoid surcharge for alternative delivery.
dao Shop to Home or dao Home
dao Shop to Home and dao Home shipments are delivered directly to the front door of the receiver. dao deliveries at night, which means that packages are at the address – at the door or in the mailbox – before 7AM. PostNord Flex delivery
PostNord’s Flex delivery (Flexlevering) is a service that in many ways resembles GLS’ Deposit Service. Delivery man drops the package off at the desired location e.g. garage or the greenhouse without any physical contact between the two parties involved.
It is possible for you (sender) to opt for PostNord Flex Delivery when using PostNord MyPack Home and PostNord Parcel.

It is also possible for a PostNord delivery man to sign for delivery himself with a special COVID-19 signature, so that the physical contact is avoided once again. The receiver can also grant PostNord a temporary power of attorney (POA), the authority to deliver a package without signature. Get the POA, print it and hang it some place visible to the delivery man so he/she can deliver the package without contact.

Bring Flex Delivery
Bring has a similar service: Bring Flex Delivery. The customer notes a desired location for delivery of their parcel e.g. at the back door or at the front door and delivery drops the package off as requested.

Danske Fragtmænd delivery without signature
You can also ship pallets and groupage with Danske Fragtmænd and choose that they should be delivered without a signature and a delivery receipt. This means again that the carrier and the customer don’t have to interact with each other for the shipment to be delivered.
You can choose that your Danske Fragtmænd shipment should be delivered without a signature for both private and business deliveries.
